Allison Taylor grew up in Northern California in a small town just outside Sacramento, California. From a very young age she showed interest in art-making and exploring different mediums. Her parents encouraged her creative interests which led to her finding her true love of working with clay. 

She studied Art & Art History at the University of California, Davis where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art. Allison went on to further her studio practice on the east coast and completed the Post-Baccalaureate Program at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. She then returned to California to earn her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Allison currently lives in beautiful San Diego, California and works out of her home studio.
